Maxon To Provide Energy Consulting Services To eBay
November 1, 2007
Atlanta, Georgia
Maxon will be providing consulting services for the development of a Corporate Energy Management Program to aid eBay in reaching their environmental goals. This program will holistically cover eBay’s corporate headquarter buildings, internal data labs, and corporate data centers. Maxon’s goal is to cut eBay’s carbon footprint, lower their electrical costs 10%-25%, and create a sustainability model for all of eBay’s future developments.

The result of the Corporate Energy Management Program will enable eBay to be more competitive in the marketplace, acquire and retain the best employees, and become a model and leader for corporate environmental initiatives.
"We applaud eBay’s commitment to becoming one of the most environmentally conscious companies in the nation. There is tremendous opportunity for eBay to be a catalyst in corporate responsibility nationwide. Not only will this provide a benchmark for other corporations, but it will certainly help eBay become more profitable and retain the best employees," said Marc O'Connor, Maxon's President.
